INPEX Ichthys Project
Major co-ordination and construction interfaces were overcome by working under an Alliance style contract (Target Out-turn Cost).
In INPEX Ichthys project is a world class LNG project with plant based in Darwin, NT. The project will have an initial capacity to produce 8.4 million tonnes of LNG per annum and 1.6 million tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) per annum, as well as approximately 100,000 barrels of condensate per day at peak.
COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT CIVIL WORKS
BGC Contracting was contracted to complete civil works associated with the construction of the power facilities for CH2 UGL JV (Subcontractor) for the Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) in the onshore LNG facility in Darwin. Works included major foundations for Gas Turbine Generators, Heat Recovery Steam Generators and Steam Generators.
Major co-ordination and construction interfaces were overcome by working under an Alliance style contract (Target Out-turn Cost). Through the alliance, both the client and BGC shared the risk and targeted best for project outcomes.
The scope of work included in this project included:
- Excavation and Backfilling
- Formwork, Reinforcement and Concrete
- Bolt setting
- Pile caps
- Major and minor equipment foundations
- 22,000 m³ Structural Concrete
- 150 Person Peak Workforce
