BGC Contracting appoints Chief Operating Officer, Construction

Leading Australian mining and construction firm BGC Contracting Pty Ltd has appointed senior construction executive Mark Angove Chief Operating Officer, Construction.

Mr Angove has more than 25 years’ experience in the construction industry. He was most recently Fulton Hogan’s Operations Manager, overseeing their civil construction business unit in South Australia and Western Australia, and prior to that Managing Director with Probuild Civil.

BGC Contracting CEO Greg Heylen said Mr Angove’s strategic, operational and project leadership experience would contribute to the company’s sustainable growth strategy.

“His extensive experience in strategy development and project delivery in the resources and construction sector will be an asset as we move into the next phase in our growth strategy,” Mr Heylen said.

“His Australian and international experience will enhance our strong focus on client relationships and project delivery.

“There has been an increase in resource sector and construction opportunities, particularly in Western Australia, and we look forward to Mark leading our construction business into a sustainable growth phase.
