Chief Executive Officer Greg Heylen

Greg has led BGC Contracting as Chief Executive Officer since 2011. With more than 33 years’ experience in the mining and construction industry, he has held a number of senior positions within BGC Contracting, including Construction Manager and General Manager for the Construction business unit. His overall experience includes the management of operations in civil, mining and multi-discipline contracting.

Charged with the responsibility of strategic planning, growth, overall performance and profitability of BGC Contracting, Greg is committed to deliver on client expectations to ensure we partner beyond the project. He places a strong emphasis on health and safety, open communication, teamwork and client relationships.

Greg is a member of the Executive Council of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia, is Chair of the Occupational Safety and Health Standing Committee, is an Executive Director of the Australian Constructors Association, a Mentor of the Safety Working Party and a Pay Equity Ambassador.

Andrew Taplin

Chief Operating Officer Mining Andrew Taplin

Andrew has more than 20 years’ experience in the mining industry globally and was most recently President of Rio Tinto’s Resolution Copper development in Arizona, USA. 

As Chief Operating Officer Mining, Andrew is responsible for the management of all mining operations for BGC Contracting within Australia to achieve professional, safe and profitable levels of performance.

 

Belinda Murray

General Counsel Belinda Murray

Belinda Murray commenced her role as General Counsel of BGC (Australia) Pty Ltd in July 2009. Belinda has 20 years experience in commercial law, energy and resources law and dispute resolution. Belinda has worked in Australia and overseas, in both the Government and the private sector. Given her work in private practice, Belinda has been carrying out work for BGC for the past 15 years.

Mark Angove

Chief Operating Officer, Construction Mark Angove

Mark has more than 25 years’ experience in the construction industry. He was most recently Fulton Hogan’s Operations Manager, overseeing their civil construction business unit in South Australia and Western Australia, and prior to that Managing Director with Probuild Civil.

Mark’s strategic, operational and project leadership experience contributes to the company’s sustainable growth strategy, while his strong focus on relationships and project delivery is an asset to our clients.

Kathleen Bozanic

Chief Financial Officer Kathleen Bozanic

Kathleen is a qualified accountant (ACA Australia) with more than 25 years’ experience in compliance, governance, risk and financial management, including as a Partner at leading professional services firm (Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Australia).  Kathleen has worked in a number of finance teams in the role of CFO and General Manager Finance, across mining construction companies including BGC Contracting, Atlas Iron and Mount Gibson Iron. Kathleen has extensive experience as a finance executive in both public and private companies, and as a Non-Executive Director of not-for-profit and government organisations.  Kathleen is a board member of the Child and Adolescent Health Service for Western Australia and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from UWA and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
