BGC Contracting Finalists at 2015 CME Awards
BGC Contracting were named as finalists at the Chamber of Minerals and Energy (CME) Safety and Health Innovation awards on Monday 27 July 2015. The awards aim to promote the application of safety and health innovations across the Western Australian resources sector, as part of the industry's commitment to continuous improvement in safety and health outcomes.
Nominated in two out of three available categories in the fields of 'People' and 'Systems', the People nomination was based on an innovative heat stress management program and the Systems nomination for the company's Safety Achiever Awards program.
Commenting on the result, was CEO Greg Heylen. "For BGC Contracting to account for two of the ten finalist nominations (which were selected from 76 entries in total) is an excellent achievement. We look forward to improving on this result at next year’s edition of the event.
"Given the caliber of the nominees, it is exciting to think what the future holds in regards to health and safety innovation. Congratulations to the nominees and category winners for their continued contribution towards the improvement of health and safety in our industry work environment."
