BGC Contracting Wins Spinifex Mining Contract

BGC Contracting has been awarded the contract mining at the Spinifex Iron Ore Project.

The contract with Moly Metals Australia is valued at $70 million and is located 200km south east of Port Hedland. This award complements the recently started Wodgina Iron Ore Operation, also in the vicinity of Port Hedland.

Martin Spibey Executive General Manager Mining said “The award of Spinifex and other recent contracts is evidence of a recovering mining industry. BGC is proving to be the contractor of choice for emerging iron ore producers due to our value for money and our ability to work collaboratively with the client”

”We look forward to work commencing on-site and once again proving our proficiency in delivering projects on time and on budget.”

Preliminary work is set to begin in September with contract duration of 54 months.
